Capital punishment is one of the most discussed topic in the word at the brink of the 20th century. The advanced civilised views on humanity and humanitarian approach in the legal system all contributed to the revision of capital punishment in most of the countries. As the result, many countries have abolished capital punishment. I would oppose capital punishment for the following reasons.
Many people make mistakes in an emotional outburst and this emotional outburst is going to continue until the whole world learns emotional intelligence.
Capital punishment haven’t reduced the crime rate because punishments never deter few people who have determined to commit the crime that they planned.
Life time imprisonment without parole will give the person a lesson in the jail and help one contribute as a normal person, if there is enough programmes and employment options inside the prison.
Capital punishment doesn’t only kill one person but it shatters the hope and life of people who are dependent on the person. If the person is alive, the family will be content in the hope that the person is atleast alive.
Capital punishment is also costly because of the trials and the amount to be paid for the person who administers the pusnishment as it costs nearly 1.26 million dollars for the tax payers.
Capital punishment kills a life which is against the natural law. The person cannot fulfil his/her destiny because it was interrupted.
