Modern city sound levels are exceedingly and consistently high and regular exposure may result in serious medical problems. Work space and ambient noise can cause hearing loss, sleep deficiencies and some experts even believe heart disease and birth defects. If you were a public official and were trying to reduce this ambient noise, what actions would you take and list the advantages or disadvantages of your decision.
Takes initiative to planting trees along the roads. Give awerness to public is the best method to reduce noise pollution.
Advantages
. Plantings trees along roads will reduce noise pollution caused by traffic.
Because, plants would absorb the urban noise by act as an effective sound barriers and will not let it to reach the resident area.
. Plants reduces the impact of air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, and light pollution.
Trees reduce the dust particles by absorbing it and provides pure oxygen. Tress will also absorb and clean water that runs over the road.
. Beautify roadside area.
Besides trees act as a barrier for noise pollution, they also beautify environment.
Disadvantages
. Falling limbs injuring people and damage property.
The sudden falling or dropping of limbs injuries people and objects.
. Requires time and effort.
In order to absorb pollutions, lot of time is required to a seedling to become a big tree.

Due to falling of leaves, regular maintance and cleaning is required.
