Any team would be successful with the efforts of every team member. A team member must own the team and its objective and must work towards it. When it comes to study team, the responsibility for any team member is even more. The objective of any team is collectively utilising the knowledge and expertise of the members for success.

Lets take an example of a study team of 5 members. Every individual has their own skills, knowledge, specialized area where they have more grip over others. Their target is to understand finance subject by collective efforts. One guy is more specialized in articulation, one in listening, one in fast learning, one in fast writing and the other in motivating. All these skills are equally needed in the success of their objective. The key success factor in this team success is nothing but the ability to appreciate and firstly to know our strengths. All these aspects are strengths of the team together. The only thing is how they utilise their strengths. The study needs constant motivation since it is one of the difficult jobs for anyone. At some point, we will definitely gets exhausted if we don't get any concept. Then the motivator must bring back the spirit and he must chose the person who could explain it well and solve the issue. Likewise, the person who articulates well can make everyone understand the concept, the person who can write fast can note down the quick points in their discussion for future reference. The fast learner can encourage the articulator since a teacher gets the motivation when his students responds and understands quickly.

Briefly by this example, we can say that the contributions needed are:

-Putting effort by every member for the success of the team

-Motivating the team towards the success.

-Utilizing their strengths and skills for the team and helping out others for their success.

-Owning the team objective and getting convinced by the team decisions.

-Being leader, understanding every team member and allocating the work according to their interests and skills.

The important quality that needs to be improved for being a valued member is communicating one's knowledge and sharing it with every member in the team. Another quality must be, if any person has not got the interested work, he must get convinced by the decision or put his issue before the leader but should not take it to heart and destroy the team's performance
