In your (supported) opinion, what, if any, is the difference between "police community programs" and community policing?

(Answer) Police Community Programs are that which are organised by the local police department and community, in order to effectively run training and other community events. These events and programs help the community gain an insight into how a community is maintained. For instance, safety visitations, car-seat installation clinics, school resource officer programs etc. (Source: Smithfield Police Department Community Police Programs)

Community Policing, on the other hand, might be watch programs that are conducted by the police with representatives from the community. This is meant to allocate police officers to certain areas so that they become familiar with the locals who are acquainted with them and get to know the community better. Social safety, improper driving and other issues are regulated through community policing. For instance, if there is a recurring problem in the neighbourhood, the community and police would work together to find the cause and adopt a solution.
