Expert Solution

Answer. The environmental circumstances faced by the lower economic groups are very poor and it has a major impact on the people living in it in all terms. For instance if a mother is pregnant and stays in a place where environment is full of pollution m dirt , dust , congested etc. This would have a huge impact on the mother as well as the baby in her womb. In such circumstances there are chances of the baby to develop some kind of disability either mental or physical later in life.

People of lower socioeconomic groups face a problem of shortage of food and proper water. This also increases the chances of disabling illness among this population.

Even if there is already a person with disability or some kind of illness these people try to avoid reporting it and going to the hospital for proper treatments. They instead ignore it or if it’s severe they would try treating it at home or believe in supernatural things.

To lower the incidence of disabling illness among members of lower socioeconomic groups social policies should be made like :-

1. Policy should be made to ensure neat and clean water that is drinkable.

2. Policy should be made to ensure healthy and nutritious food to each and every family living in such conditions.

3. Government should also make policy to give free health checkups to these people.

4. Healthcare and medicine should be reduced in price or free for people.
