Expert Solution

After reading the NAEYC Position Statements on Curriculum, Assessment, and Program Evaluation three concepts that I will consider in my future classroom:

a) Inclusion: Help children know each other, recognize and support each other as valued members of the community. This is very important as we are living in societies which are full of different cultures, family structures, ethnic backgrounds and religions.

b) Involvement: Involving children and the communities in the design and implementation of the various activities. This can be done with the help of activities that promote the children’s engagement with their culture and community. This is important as children get involved in the community development right from the very beginning.

c) Customized Support: Providing different levels of support to different children depending upon their needs. Different children learn in different ways. This way of providing support ensures that the different needs of the children are met and proper support in terms of customized knowledge and skills is available to them.
