Expert Solution

What are the five key factors demonstrated in OPM (e.g., culture)?

Five key factors that are demonstrated in OPM are:

1. Human and cultural factors

2. Technological and work processes factors

3. Regulatory measures, information and knowledge

4. Economic factors and rewards

5. Management philosophy and decision making

Which factor links to which factor?

All of these factors are interrelated and are closely associated with each other. Organisation is an entity that cannot operate without the human resources and therefore the cultural aspects of these human resources are of utmost importance for the organisation. In order to accomplish the task and objectives of the organisation, technology is required which is being used by human resources so as to accomplish their tasks. In order to control the various resources of the organisation, it is required to formulate regulatory measures for performing controlling functions. Organisations are affected by the internal and external economic factors and these economic factors affect the resources and elements of the organisation. Management philosophy affects the other factors and promotes a specific culture of the organisation.

How to use OPM for assessment and for design (e.g., clockwise)?

OPM is needed to be used in the clock wise manner where the organisation is initially required to employ human resources who will use the technology to perform their work processes. Managerial structure will determine the format of the human resources in which the organisation will function. Information and knowledge will then be disseminated among the human resources. The performance of the human resources will help the management of the organisation to arrive on the decision of rewards.

How does design element work (are they independent or interconnected)?

Design elements are interrelated with each other as that has been discussed above.
