Gaia hypothesis is all about the complex system of the earth which states it as a self-regulating body that regulating its whole system. It is done by the different stakeholders of the earth which fix the errors in its ways and its systems such as atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere acts according to maintain the ecological balance and make it for life and livelihood. The earth in its way indeed makes things fit for life on earth. Some of the pitfalls of this hypothesis are as follows:

Yes, I think that the earth and its spheres change over time and it is due to the interaction between different spheres of the earth and it is affected both by the natural discourse as well as human activities.
