What would you say to those who argue that establishing attractive career programs for employees will only enhance their own marketability and enable them to leave the organization faster?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Establishing attractive career programs are one of the most popular methods that almost all the organizations follow.

Yes, there are possible implications that employees may be able to leave quickly ,but in most cases ,it has been experienced that these programs help develop and inculcate a sense of loyalty and belongingness in employees when employers warrant to invest in them by providing training, improving developmental skills etc which are also key if you have to ensure that you do your best in retention of your star employees or to tap potentials in the existing employees or ,even to attract new talents that look for places that offer long term growth instead of just monetary aspects of the job.

Positive effects of such programs greatly outweigh the possible negative impacts it may have.

Motivation

Sense of belongingness

Loyalty

Increased productivity

Attract new employees

Helps in retention.

All these are the positive impacts which can not be overlooked or ignored because of one or two negative possibilities. Also in today's cut throat market ,it has become a common knowledge that employees look for such companies and want to stay as long as they keep growing which makes it all the more reasonable and a great argument in favor of using these programs.
