Considering the type of system you chose from the list above, discuss the model you would use (time or event-based or a combination) and for what purposes. What considerations do you need to take into account in your design? How does the PLC fit into this system?

From given list I have chosen paint processing plant.

Here SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System) is a control system which utilises computer network to control and handle various processes from single computer. If we consider paint processing plant then in this we use time base as well as event based as we need to mix various colours at different time interval and different quantities.

PLC( programmable Logic Controller) is used to process different functions as per command given to it. Here in paint processing plant, when command from computer is given to plc for processing that function at that time whatever is the quantity is required to mix it is performed by plc. Hence plc is very essential device which is the main processing device which process task given by SCADA.
