What are the common areas of interest of Biomechanics?

How the Newton’s Laws are used within Biomechanics?

Applications of Biomechanics for walking, standing and running.

Please type answer do not hand write. thank you

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. Most common area of interest of Biomechanics is the gait analysis that is the study of human movement science including the running, walking and standing. Common topics of interest for study and research in the field of Biomechanics are Human Locomotion, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Electromyography.

2. Newton's first law is the law of inertia that is dedicated to resistance to movement or change of motion hence helps in standing and helps in explaining the sustained motion of the body.

Newton's second law tells that for producing the same acceleration body with larger mass requires more force and athletes can utilize this thing effectively in improving their performance.

Newton's third law explains the reason behind our walking, running and even standing as ground applies equal and opposite force when we apply force on the ground that's why we become able to move or stand.

3. Applications of Biomechanics are widely found in the athletic training, physical exercise and physical therapy.

Blood circulations, working of heart and even heart attack can be effectively explained by Biomechanics with the involvement of Bernoulli's principle, equation of continuity etc.
