What are Newton’s 3 laws of motion? With each response, provide a common example/application for each from everyday life (15 points)
Newtons first law
this law state that the state of a body of uniform motion or rest does not change until an external force applied on it
If net force on a body is zero then it will continue to move in uniform motion or remain at rest
example if we threw a ball in space then it will continue motion of constant velocity
, if we kick a football then and it comes to rest because friction force being applied on it
Newton 2nd law
This law states that the force is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum
F=m(v-u) /t
F=ma
example if we stop a car using brakes then retardation is proportional to the strength of brakes if we apply brakes harder then car will stop more quickly
Every action has equal and opposite reaction this is Newton's third law F12=-F21
in daily life examples if we jump from a boat in a river then boat will move backward because we applied force in forward direction and the reaction will act on the boat in reverse direction similarly a gun fire a bullet then and the gun will move in backward direction because of reaction of bullet in forward direction
Similarly we are able to move because of action and reaction we push earth with force and and earth pushes back which is reaction
