1) What is the difference between Distance and Displacement?
2)Briefly state Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion. ?
3)What is the First Condition of Equilibrium?
PLEASE TYPE THE ANSWERS
Q.1 DISTANCE:- 1. It is the total distance travelled by the body from initial to final position.
2. It is scalar quantity.
3. Distance has S.I units m/s
4. Distance can positive and zero.
Displacement:- 1. It is the shortest path between inital and final position.
2. It is a vector quantity.
3. Displacement has S.I units m/s
4. Displacement can be positive, negative and zero.
Q.2 Newtons third states that for every action in nature there is an equal and opposite
reaction.
In other words, if object A exerts a force on object B, then object B also exerts an equal
and opposite force on object A. F1= -F2
Q.3 The first condition for equilibrium is that the net force on the object must be zero.
