A leader is the one who builds teams and create strong bond among the team members. He motivates them with support and recognition to their efforts, inspire them and influence their behaviour in a positive way. An effective leader create a strong culture, that encourages equity, fair treatment and promote diversity and equality. He shares the vision with all the employees, and guide them to work for the achievement of it. He also provide development opportunities, by enhancing the skills and capabilities of the members through training, counseling and mentoring.
Managers can also undertake these activities, but he will be focusing more on Getting the things done as per rules and regulations. Whereas leaders focus on the individuals and capabilities for completion of the work and achievements with integrity and togetherness. He influence and inspire for people to work without using any stricter policies. thus, a leader can do all the stated activities.
