1. Address a key leadership trait that can assist in managing conflict.

Ans: Conflict management is one of the most important trait a leader should possess. Working in a team would inevitably bring in some conflicts among the team members. The leader would be the one responsible for solving it. A leader should have a good listening and analysing skill. He should not jump to any conclusion before hearing both sides of the conflict. He should allow people to express their concerns and try to find a solution that would be acceptable with all the parties involved.

Acting as a mere middle man will not help in solving the conflicts, the leader has to show empathy and should show genuine interest in solving the conflict.

2. Discuss a tool or strategy a leader can adopt for improving communication within the organization.

Communication is an important aspect in any organisation. Communication should always be two ways. The leader should be ready to take feedback. There should be consistency and no hidden agenda. Always put out the message to all the concerned departments and individuals through one source of communication. Deploying various methods for different individuals and department may dilute the effectiveness of the message that has to be conveyed. Always encourage the team to write back with their ideas and feedback on the subject matter, this way we can make sure that the communication would be complete and has reached all the person within the organisation.

3. Describe some methods for motivating employees and improving behaviors within the workplace.

Rewards : Always use the reward method of motivation rather than the punish method. Put a target or an achievement to be made in front of the team and reward the team who achieves it. The target can be monthly of quarterly.

Lead by Example : The leader has to lead by example. The leader has to set the tone for the type of behavior that is expected in the organisation.

Inspire : The leader who can lead by example can inspire the team and whole organisation to deliver the desired output.
