Think of your favorite retailer. (Online or retail) explain in an essay why you like that retailer, what specials they offer, what makes you wanting to keep shopping there?
As specified in the question, I would like to take an example of online retailer Amazon, who has its presence all across the world.
Amazon started its journy in late 1990 and now has become a dominant player in the E-Commerce industry with significantly expanding into other digital arms such as Cloud storage, Logistics etc.
The major chain which I liled them is Amazon acting as a significant leader in the area of market place, changing the dynamics of 'How shopping is done'
USP and key significant of Amazon:
1. Timely delivery of products - It always amazes by significantly delivering the products way before than expected with a on time delivery ratio of 99% or more.
2. Un matched Quality - The products that are delivered are of unmatched quality qualifying series of tests under Amazon.
3. Easy Returns - The super USP of the product is its easy returns policy, althoigh it facilitates the user to return a product due to quality issues or not liking of the product. It rarely happens. People feel safe as they have the option of returning if they are not satisfied.
4. Seasonal offers - There isnt a week, where there was no offers, depending on the season, it comes with variety of offers for products concerning to particular seasons.
5. Wish list - It is the first company, which introduced the concept of wishlist, where people can store the products in thier wish list, so that they get notified when there is a price drop or to find them easily when ever they wanted to buy.
6. AI based recommendations - They refine the recommendations of the products that are being served to us. They have the best algoriths for the recommendations put forward to us.
7. TIMELY customer support - It gives an easy tracking of products from the point of ordering to point of delivery.
Conclusion : During course of time, Amazon has developed a customer base, such that people turned for cash back/ offers based customers to loyalty base customers. The amount of recurring customers for Amzon is commandable in number. Its main focus is of servicing of products rather than pricing of product. AND THAT IS THE PRIME REASON WHY PEOPLE WANTED TO SHOP WITH THEM.
