Answer: Dear student, if the keyboard is not responding then these possibilities could be wrong.
Check the connection- If the keyboard is not responding at all, make sure that it is connected properly to the PC. Check all the keyboard plugs to make sure that there should be no loose connections. Connect the keyboard to a PC using a different USB port.
If an adapter (PS/2 to USB or PS/2 AT) is being used, verify that it is the adapter that was used with the keyboard or that the keyboard supports adapting to a different port. To connect or disconnect the keyboard to a PS/2 port- shut down the computer, plug the device into the correct port. Make sure that the plug is connected securely into the connector. Restart your Personal Computer.
If the problem continues to occur, try connecting the keyboard to a different PC. If the keyboard responding correctly on a different PC, the port to which the keyboard was connected on its personal computer may be damaged.
If the keyboard does not function correctly on another computer, the keyboard may be defective.
If keyboard responding on another computer, you can take this step also-
Download and install the latest keyboard software- download the latest drivers for the keyboard that you are using.
Reinstall the drivers- This is the reason also if drivers are corrupted or not properly installed, the keyboard will not respond. First, reinstall the drivers and make sure your device is not listed, this means the device is disconnected properly. Restart the PC and connect your device to the PC. PC detects the device and then reinstalls the drivers for the device.
