1. What is the path that the sperm cells and secondary oocytes travel to get to each other?
2. How the secondary oocyte gets into the oviduct and meets up with the sperm cell?
1. The path travelled by the sperm should start from the epididymis. From epididymis sperm travels to the the vas deference. Then thriugh the spermatic cord to the prostate. Then by passing under the bulbourethral gland to the urethra through the common urinary tract. The sperm teaching the female Va-gina moves through the cervix to teach the uterus. From there it pass through the fundus region to reach isthumus.
The secondary oocyte starts its way from the ovary. Collected by the fimbriae it enters the fallopian tubule. There it pass through infundibulum and then through the ampulla region to reach the isthumus.
2. The ovary and oviduct are closely situated. But they are not the continuation of any sctructures. The action of LH makes the secondary occyte to release from the graafian follicle. Then the fimbriae region moves in a wavey pattern to collect the secondary oocyte. Thus the the collected oocyte teaches the infundibulum. From there the cilia present inside the inner lining transport the oocyte through the oviduct. Like wise it pass through the ampulla and isthmus to reach the sperm.
