Why HRM evolve overtime? what is the reason for this ?
Human resource management has changed a lot over time since the skill needs and globalization has brought forth the international standards to be followed and used at the workplace. The 18th century showed that the laborers were treated badly without any safety or protection at work, the accidents were common and the employers were not doing more than paying daily wages for the quantity of the job. Then came the employment rules and regulations to protect the employee’s rights and the compliance to be followed in the business where a Personnel Department was created to make sure the operations are smooth and the troubles are sorted out fast to keep the work going.
The evolution of HRM over time has happened with globalization where the people of the business were treated as assets and resources to accomplish a goal. Hence the said reasons may be to get the best out of the employees the HRM has to make sure the right skills are put in the right job to get the best. Here individuals get special care as talent management is part of the modern HRM processes. Further, the assets are been used for the competitive edge development where the individual's innovation and idea generation has to be given a closer and more in-depth look to make sure the people stay and are motivated to give the best for the business, the evolution of the HRM was the reason to attain such competence with the skill and ever-changing business environment to make people ready for the new wave of changes that need to be adopted.
