Accountant is the one who does all the accounting tasks of any company/firm. He carries out all the business related accounting i.e notes down all the expenses, incomes, and other notes to accounts in the form of financial statements.
Accountant is the sole person responsible for accounts and is actions should promote social responsibility.

Social responsibility : can be defined as the responsibility of the organisation towards the society. It can also be said that every organisation have a responsibility towards the society and this responsibility is known as social responsibility.

• Any Company/Organisation showing Social Responsibility in its financial statements is more likely to receive favour from society.
• The company will have less interventions from the government authorities.
• Any company's action promoting social responsibility it will achieve good market image.

So, in this context Accountants actions must promote social responsibility.
