This information may include voice, fax, or some other form of information as well that is traditionally carried out over the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). The transmission of information takes place in the form of data packets over the internet or the LAN avoiding the PSTN tolls. The popular VoIP protocols that are widely used to implement IP telephony are:

  • Session Initiation Protocol
  • H.323
  • Real-time Transport Protocol
  • Real-time Transport Control Protocol
  • Session Description Protocol (SDP)
  • Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP)

Some of the devices that are widely used for communicating while using VoIP are handsets, headsets as well as microphones that are connected to the personal computer. Now, talking about these devices, the handsets are the devices that are widely used device and it looks like a traditional telephone or a mobile phone that can be used for communication, a headset is a device that can be worn around the head for listening to the voice messages and it may also have a mic attaches to it which could be used for the speaking and sending your message signals towards the receiver. The third kind of device is the microphones or just the mic that can be used for transmitting the voice messages over the communication channel, it can be easily connected to the computer through the port.

If the client was investing the money for 10 years in investment type Y , one way to think about this would be that the return in the first year is Y1 ∼ N(5, 3^2 ) and the return in the 2nd year is Y2 ∼ N(5, 3^ 2 ), . . ., and finally the return in the 10th year is Y10 ∼ N(5, 3^2) We could then define the average return as AY = (Y1+Y2+...+Y10)/10 , assuming the...
