Where transmission had been 4.18 times more likely. This has been observed because of the biological changes that take place in the body of the female.

Also, there have been concerns regarding the use of prophylaxis to prevent HIV. Also, there has been increased research in the functional cure of HIV where viral suppression is being attempted. This suppression would not be with people to be taking daily anti retroviral medicines.

Challenges are: development of a full functional cure, as well as implementation of prophylaxis

The future might come up with a fully functional medicine.
