A Nurse manager is a person who supervises all the assistant nurses and helps them to perform their duty well.A person with clinical knowledge and leadership qualities can excel in this job.

The goal of Nurse Manager

They have to visit each patient and understand each clients problems. They are the responsible ones to solve all those problems that pop up during nursing care. In addition to that, they are making management and budgetary decisions and making work schedules for the nurses.They coordinate meetings and considering each and everyone under their responsibility.

Director of Nursing

A Director of Nursing is a registered Nurse who overlooks the care of all patients at a Hospital.They are the Nurse administrators who work at hospitals,nursing homes and other healthcare facilities.

Goals

1)They are responsible for supervising all nursing staff

2)Communicating all the issues with the high level authorities

3)Review and adopt modern facilities in the nursing care.

4)Acts as a mediator between patient,doctor and Nurses and patients family members

Difference between Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing.

A Nurse Manager is only responsible for one or two units in a hospital or similar systems whereas Nursing Director is responsible for whole hospital or hospitals or any other similar units as a whole.
