Assessment Background:
You are the nurse manager at a skilled nursing facility. There has been tremendous nurse burnout and turnover at your facility. Next Tuesday, the CEO and CFO of your organization are coming to assess the situation. You must explain to these stakeholders the current trends for nursing leadership related to nursing recruitment, retention, and engagement in the workplace. The goal of your presentation is to help influence your stakeholders to increase funding and make allowances for you to create positive change for a healthier workplace.

1. Analyze reasons for nurse burnout and the high turnover rate
The nursing is one of the most stressful profession. Because it has shift-work hours, overtime and night duty rather than other profession. The fatigue, burnout and conflict make it difficult to take care of self. This lack of wellness of nurse causes ineffective. Staff shortages, increased workload and responsibilities, governmental regulation have contributed to nurse burnout and overall distress. It will affect personal and professional level of nurses.
The nurses are giving care to critical care patients and they are confronted with life and death situations every day.So nurses are more prone to both psychological stress and other mental health problems.It will cause burn out and more staff turn over compared to other health care professions.
The nursing shortage is a critical issue in many countries. High turnover rates among nurses is contributing to the shortage, and job dissatisfaction, intention to leave. Finally this leads to poor quality of care to the patients.

3. Correlate the relationship between staffing, productivity, and quality leadership for employee engagement.
Productivity is the the ratio of output to input. Adequate staffing is necessary to increase the productivity of organization. The number of employee work outcomes are critical to an organization's productivity . For that maintain positive staff morale. A good leader can increase the staff morale by delegating the duties equally. Leader should maintain good co-ordination among the team. It will help to give a standard quality care and the satisfaction among staff also increases. So it leads improvement in the overall productivity of organization.
