In your own words write a short pragraph that describe the computing device and who discover it and when and write 3 to 5 reasons that make computing device important.

Any Electronic Device that takes inputs, processes the inputs and then calculates results from the inputs and controlled by CPU can be referred to as the computing device.

Every computing device has the followings features:

1. Processor - for calculations

2. Programming - for executing computations

3. Data Storage - to store the program as well as data

4. Interface - by which you could provide pieces of information to the devices

5. Operating System - to process the schedule for execution and connect software and hardware.

Computing devices can be for single-user or multi-user.

For example - Computer, Printers, Calculators, Data Processors, Smart devices etc.

Charles Babbage originated the concept of a programmable computer system between 1833 and 1871. There's no exact date for the same. It was a modern machine. William Oughtred also comes into the picture for inventing first abacus or the slide rule computer in 1622.

Importance of the computing device:

1. It makes things easier for us.

2. Reduce the effort of a person.

3. Play big roles in industrial areas, banking & finance, business, etc.

4. Provide access to information in various forms such as news, learning, etc.

5. Could be controlled by either screen or voice.

6. Make computations easier and faster.
