1.Difference between power electronics and analog electronics
Or
2.differences and similarities between electronic circuits and it's analogy with magnetic circuit.
I am going to explain you both questions,
Answer1:
Power electronics: it is the subject which deals with the high voltages in the order of 100s of volts, and moderate to high currents in the order of 10's of amperes. And power levels will be high.
This will use devices likes of MOSFETs, IGBTs inductors, capacitors etc.,
Eg: switch mode power supplies, high power converters and inverters etc.,
Analog electronics: this is the subject which deals with the low voltages in the order of 10's of volts and low to moderate currents. And power levels will low.
This will use the devices likes of BJTs, FETs, zener diodes etc.,
Eg: amplifier circuits, gate driver circuits for power electronics,signal processing circuits etc.,
Answer2:
Electrical circuits are analogous to the magnetic circuits,
EMF in electronic circuit will be analogous to MMF in magnetic circuit etc., List is given below,
EMF = MMF
CURRENT= FLUX
RESISTANCE = RELUCTANCE
circuits will look like this,
