The practice manager wants to complete a strategic plan as a guiding framework for the organization for the next five years. From whom should she get input to help shape this plan? Should cultural competency initiatives be included in this plan?
Solution:
The manager should take inputs from all the major stakeholders of the organization who will have a maximum impact because of the strategy formulation. We must assess the objective of the strategy and understand the different stakeholders that have an impact because of the strategy being formulated. We must take input from these stakeholders because they are the ones who will have the maximum impact of the strategy formulation and hence their inputs will help us in ensuring that we have all the necessary information and suggestions from the important stakeholders of the organization. Such information acts as pivotal information in our strategy formulation and hence is very much essential. Hence, these are the stakeholders that we must take inputs from to ensure we develop a strategy that is beneficial overall to all the stakeholders.
We must account for cultural competency because it is one of the most important factors in any organization and vomiting this factor may deviate from the actual results we intend to achieve with our strategies. Hence, this is why it is a must to have these competency initiatives included within our strategy for more effective strategy formulation and implementation.
