Ans
1 nNo we are not doing enough. That is why we have lost millions of species of plants and animals. We have invested very very less in alternative technologies. Oil and coal is still used predominantly throughout world. Our deepndenc on Fossil fuels is too much. Factories sll over the world are releasing toxic pollution. Though use of alternative technologies have increased but we have yet not achieved a lasting solution for pollution problem
2 The country is India. Here every sensitive project needs Environmental impact assessment The country has also established green tribunals. It's used odd-even scheme of number plates in new dehli to reduce air pollution. There are national and state level agencies for monitoring air and water pollution. It has invested in solar and wind energy. These technologies are even subsidised. BUT BY and large it can be said that the country has not seriously implemented pollution control measures and that is why some of the worst polluted cities in world are in India.
