What did you learn or re-learn about revision this week from the text or any learning activities? What areas of your writing do you feel are strengths? Which areas could use some improvement?
I am very familiar with the writing process; I didn't learn anything new by going over the readings this week, but the readings did help to bring all of it to the surface of my mind again. Revision means to "see again" to look at something from a fresh and critical perspective. I think that proof-reading is essential to the writing process, I take a few hours after writing to go back and proof-read my work, just those few hours give me a lot of revision for my paper. I am confident in my writing; my thesis and outline were strong. My outline stuck to my thesis without going off track. My conclusion could use some improvement, and I feel like I have more to say within my conclusion.
How will you integrate these ideas into the next steps you will take to complete or refine your paper?
I will incorporate my ideas within my paper when I revise. I won't reconsider my argument because I feel that my argument is strong and persuasive. I do plan to review my evidence that I’ve gathered, refine my purpose, and reorganize my ideas within my paragraphs.
