Expert Solution

I think the diseased people have a right to die if they are in great pain and diagnosed with terminal illness . If the patient is exhausted with his pain, and he is likely to die , then the patient have a right to die in such situations. But in some cases depression and hopelessness in patient may lead to desire for death in some patients. In that situation death is not the solution. The condition in which patients need to face heavy pain and medical science can't do nothing for that patient , and if the patient choose death ,then patients decision can be taken into consideration .

Euthanasia:

  • Ending of a life of person either by legal injection or suspension of medicine .
  • Most of the religions disapprove Euthanasia.
  • It means Good death.
  • It is also known as mercy killing.

Physician assisted suicide:

  • A doctor assist a patient to terminate his life if he requests.
  • Termination of ones own life with the direct or indirect assistance of a physician.
  • It is also called doctor assisted suicide.

In Europe , Euthanasia is only legal in the Netherlands and Belgium. In Belgium, Euthanasia is only allowed if the patient is adult. In Japan ,only passive Euthanasia is permitted. Assisted suicide is legal in countries like Netherlands, Switzerland and the state of Oregon in the U.S but with certain conditions.
