Discuss the Natural Environment as a Stakeholder.
If we look at the literal meaning of the term stakeholder, we generally consider that as a person or a group which consists of individuals but the concept of stakeholder is far more wide and is beyond human or political or economical considerations. I believe that organizations should consider the natural environment as a stakeholder as well because there is no doubt that it plays an important role in the business context. Natural environment is a part of the business environment and any deterioration of the natural environment will affect the business and that is what the concept of stakeholder is all about. for example if due to heavy pollution the water bodies get polluted then the business organizations will find it difficult to make the water fit for their use and may incur more expense and hence we can understand why Natural Environment is considered to be a stakeholder in a business.
