In my opinion, the biggest trend has to be the introduction of artificial intelligence in the healthcare industry, like robotics and machine learning to the world. For example, IBM Watson is an AI-based system that’s making a difference in several areas of healthcare.
Secondly, the shortage of doctors and nurses have made telemedicine options increasingly attractive, especially for patients that don't live close to hospitals or specialists. Patients can reach out to doctors through Videoconferencing technologies along with health insurance providers.
Early diagnosis: In this trend, the technology can process and provide more accurate and quick output that human brain. So AI tools can reduce human errors in diagnosis and treatment and allow doctors to work with more patients. For example, image recognition technology will help to diagnose some diseases that cause changes to appearance (diabetes, optical deviations, and dermatological diseases).
