1. The Deeds of the Divine Augustus is a work believed to be
Augustus himself that has 35body paragraphs that are divided into
sections such as, his political, public and military. He elaborates
how he denied many offices and rejected awards thus remaining a
selfless king throughout. He talks about his charity works both to
his citizens and soldiersby offering them money and grains. He
finally says that he has maintained cordial relationship with other
nations thus promoting goodwill. Augustus, by many historians is
considered to be a people’s king who considered himself as the
first among the equals. Although all his works were experimental in
nature but he considered the goodwill of people.
2. American president lacks all the three characteristics of
Augustus (Selflessness, charitable and maintaining good foreign
policy). He is a racist president who is hated even by the
Americans. He is exceptional in one thing that is his selfishness
for America’s growth alone.
3. I will be very happy to live in the Pax Romana as it is
considered to be the most peaceful time in the history of Roman
Empire as there were no military actions and land expansion. Rome
had the largest land mass during this period and people were happy.
It started with Augustus the people’s king and ended with the great
philosopher king Marcus Aurelius.
