What does a drowning child in a pond have to do with your career choices?
The drowning child in the pond analogy defines how humans might try to help other st the expense of themselves. For example, in order to save the drowning child, a person must rush toward the shallow pond, without thinking twice, such thst the child could be saved. In this process, he ruins his shoes. This in turn is relevant to our career choices, in the sense, that the career that we chose should be such that it should benefit most people, even if thst means causing harm to oneself. The career one chooses, could be the one that might be dangerous for one self, but should be such that it would benefit many people. Example, the job of s nurse or a doctor, where there is high risk of being affected by microbes, but the benefit provided to many people over rules, the harm to one person.
Any career we chose, should be such that it would be worked with an altruistic manner, such that if there is any harm that may be caused to people, without any second thoughts, the act would be counter acted.
