Pick one of the 8 deadly wastes and provide an example
The factor I have selected for the purpose of this answer is people/employee waste.
In any industry be it technologically inclined or simple business oriented, there is a need to understand the impact of human error and wastage as a deadly waste in order to be able to successfully counter it.
Even in autonomous factories and manufacturing plant, there is a required input from the human counterparts which allow the company to essentially control all the functions of the process more efficient. Just like any other factor this can lead to human error/bias and is subjective to be considered a deadly waste.
For example, imagine that company needs 50 employees in order to complete a certain project in a time span of two months. Assigning 50 workers would not only be economical but optimal. But, if the management plans to decrease the time it takes for them to be able complete the project, just assigning more employees to complete the same number of processes would not only be a waste of time and capital. It would become a cause of confusion and essentially give rise to human error as well. Therefore, instead of increasing the number of employees, streamlining the process to require less number of worker would not only create a more optimized process but allow lesser chances of human error as a deciding factor for the completion of the project.
