Let we take the psychosocial developmental theory of Frued.

Frued propsed that psychosocial development in children take place during 5 pschosexual stages oral , anal ,phalic , latancy and genital. These are called psychosexual stages because each stage represent fixatiin of libido on a different area of the body.

Let me take an example one of my uncle's daughter. I am taking this example from the period of infancy which begins with birth and lasts for 1 year. When one of my uncle's daughter born her mother left her and that girl was brought up by her father. As we know that during infancy there is oral stage of development from birth to 2 years of age. In this stage use of mouth and tongue to deal with anxiety. So she need to sucking and feeding by nipples to fulfill her gratification but her mother was not with her so she didn't fulfill her gratification. Now she is 16 year old but still she is bitting her nails and sucking her thumb. She also extremely consume alcohol. In infacy as we know that infant need security, love , affection , warmth, comfort, acceptance, nourishment , understanding and physical contact. The infant needs to be cuddled and fondled fequently and recognized consistently. Very small children cannot bear to ve seperated from parents for long. Bowlby argued strongly that disturbances in mental health and personality development resulted from maternal deprivatiin. There is strong eveidence that very small children suffer from a sense of loss, mourning and grief when away from their mothers as in this case which i told you happen.

In physical development there is changes in body and physical growth, the senses ,motor skills , health and wellness.

Cognitive development involve learning , attention , memory, language , thinking, creativity and reasoning

Psychisocial development involve emotions personality and social relationship.

So it is pschosocial.
