Differences:

• an ingroup is a social group to which a person psychologically identifies as being a member. While, an outgroup is a social group with which an individual does not identify
• In group members express themselves by using the term ‘we’ while, the members of out-group use the term ‘they’
• In group is based on ethnocentrism, while out-group is based on Cultural relativism
• the members of in group show similarity in behaviour, attitude and opinion, while the members of out-group show dissimilarities
• the members of in group display co-operation, good-will, mutual help and possess a sense of solidarity, a feeling of brotherhood and readiness to sacrifice themselves for the group, while the members of out-group show a sense of avoidance, dislike, indifference and antagonism towards the members

Difference as a Manager could be managed by:

• using their strengths, as an individual for the common goal and good of the team4
• focus on team work, mutual co-ordination and helping each other
• would ask them to understand each other and co-operate for common tasks
• ask them to value and enjoy each others’ cultures to develop a sense of brotherhood
• value every person equally, so that one lags behind
