I have a bad habit of sleeping late in the night. I usually sleep at around 4-5 am in the night and wake around 10 am in morning. Then i sleep for about 2 hours in the afternoon. This is my sleeping schedule during this lockdown.
For a normal individual, minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep 8s required. If one dont get this much amount of sleep, the it deteriorate our health.
Less sleep affects our cardiovascular system, our nervous system, immune system etc.
Not getting enough sleep will affect our brain. Our thinking and learning capabilities reduces. Cognitive skills decreases.
Reducing in sleep has negative impact on heart also. Chances of cardiovascular diseases like stroke, infraction etc increases.
Reduced sleep also affect our skin. Dead tissues accumulate in skin which makes skin look dull,old with wrinkles.
Sleep reduction also reduces sexual hormones.
Weight gain is also seen with reduced sleep.
To overcome all this, one must always be conscious about his sleep. Minimum of 8 hours of sleep should be taken. Avoid to stay awake late night and try to get sleep during night hours.
