Post your summary of the chapter on Liquids and
Solids.
For maximum point,
1) Your post must be very detailed and informative
(not less than 200 words).

SOLIDS- in the solid state , the individual particles of a substance are in a fixed position with respect to each other because there is not enough thermal energy to overcome to intermolecular interactions btw the particles..
As a result , solid have definite shape and volume.
Most solids are hard but some ( like wax) are relatively soft . Many solids. Composed of ions can also be quite brittle.
Solid are defined by the following characteristics
1. Definite shape
2. Definite volume
3. Particles vibrate around fixed axes
LIQUID- if the particles of a substance have enough thermal energy to partially overcome intermolecular interactions , then the particles can move about each other while remaining in contact.. This describes liquid stateIn a liquid , particles are still in close contact , so liquids have a definite volume.. however , because the particles can move about each other rather freely , a liquid has no definite shape and takes a shape of dictated by its shape
Liquids have following characteristics
1. No definite shape ( takes the shape of its container)
2. Has definite volume
3. Particles are free to move over each other , but still they are attracted to each
