How a leader can build confidence in the team
A leader can build confidence in the team by the doing the following
1. Celebrate achievement and improvements
If each achievement and improvements is celebrated, the team would enjoy such moments and trust each other.
2. Teach team members to have each others backs
3. Focus on each person's strengths
If there is a project that requires different skill sets and each team member brings something unique to the table this builds confidence of members in each other since the team is incomplete without even one of the members.
4. Accept failure
If the team is taught to accept failure they will grow and learn to support each other in such times which will in turn build the team's confidence.
5. Encourage openness
If openness is encouraged there would be no secrets. It would build more trust and more confidence.
6. Make an environment where team members do not feel threatened
If the team mates would not feel threatened with each other, they will be more confident individually and collectively.
