If you were a manager hiring an organizational development consultant for what kind of projects would you prefer an internal consultant? An external consultant? What skills would you look for?
Internal consultant is a highly qualified person who will be hired to solve the problems related to the organisation and to give the best suggestions for the success of projects. Sometimes managers will hire the internal consultants for small projects where they need less assistance. Internal consultants mainly hired to lead the management projects because they are experts in solving the problems related to the organisation. While hiring them some of the skills will be required like they should understand different languages and cultures, deep knowledge in problem solving and decision making, and should maintain healthy relationships with the employees in the organisation.
External consultant is an unofficial person to the organisation and they will be hired only for solving certain problems. They will be hired for the certain projects related to the software projects . They should have some skills like large scale of knowledge on the specific field and also the problem solving skills.
