If you were a consultant hired to improve leadership for a company, what changes would you recommend to create a workplace that is more harmonious, less stressful and less toxic for employees. Do you believe the nature of some of the characteristics of Chinese culture may influence the success of these changes?
I believe that for an organization to be successful and to perform at its peak the organization needs to have a leadership which is very much effective and which actually value the interest of all the stakeholders and when we talk about stakeholders of a business according to me the employees are the most important ones and therefore in order to create a workplace that is more harmonious, less stressful and less toxic for employees the leaders need to be supportive and diplomatic and collaborative rather than being aggressive because aggressive style of leadership is something that may cause a hindrance to such a culture. After conducting research and analysis, it is clear that leaders ra responsible for the well being of the employees and if an employee is satisfies the leader has a role and if the employee is not satisfied, then again the leader has a role to play.
No, I believe that the aggressive style of leadership that China follows can never bring in harmony and reduced stress rather it is something that makes life difficult for employes to handle and I am actually a person who doesnot support such attitude or mentality in the organization. An organization should possess breathing space and the employees should use that space to think effectively instead of acting too mechanical.
