Pathway of sperm from seminiferous tubules
In human males sperm is made in the seminiferous tubules of testis which has many structure that help in the production of sperm .from the seminiferous tubules it moves towards the efferent ductule that collect all the sperm and helps it to move it to the head of epididymis. From the head of epididymis it move to the body of epididymis and then finally reach the tail of epididymis. The nature sperm are there in the tail of epididymis. From there it move to the gas deference that is a pathway for the sperm to the the ejaculatory duct. In this duct the sperm gets it secretion from the seminal vesicles . It then reach the topmost portion of the urethra which is the prostatic urethra that add secretion to the sperm and make it semen . The semen then flow into the membraneous urethra and then finally into the spongy urethra. Then it reach the top of the utethra where the navicular fossa is present and then out if urethra .
The pathway if sperm in female reproductive tract
The sperm that enter the va gina move towards the inner portion of the female reproductive system . With the help of its tail it move in to the cervix which is the inward inva ginating portion of cervix. From ther it move to the uterus up to the intramural part . And into the istumus from where it moves to the ampulla . The most common site of fertilization is the ambula . Then to the infundibulum. The rest is the fimbria and the ovary to which the sperm will not move
Mostly the sperm and ovum fuse at the ampulla region of fallopian tube
