What is the pathway that the sperm takes from the testes through implantation in the female at pregnancy?
Sperms are formed in semeniferous tubules of terror. After their formation, they are released into the rete testis through tubuli recti. From the rete testis, these sperms pass into vasa efferentia and from the vasa efferentia, they move into epididyemes . From epididyemes, these sperms are discharged into vasa deferens. At the end of the vasa deferens, these sperms get mixed with the secretion from seminal vesicles and are discharged into urethra and are ejaculated into the vagina- of female. From vagina- sperms travel to fallopian tube where one of the sperm fuse with the egg to form zygote.
This zygote undergoes repeated mitotic division called called to form morula which ultimately changes into blastocyst. The blastocyst gets attached to the wall of uterus and this process is called implantation. Once the blastocyst is attached to the uterine wall, female is said to be pregnant.
