I stepped on a track and lifted my foot explain how that sensation got to my brain. Where I became aware of it and why my foot lifted before I was aware
When we step on a track our pain pathway is stimulated
This is
First order neuron take the signals from the receptor in skin which are free nerve ending receptors.
The first order neuron will be the posterior nerve root ganglion of our body ,which will receive this pain information.
This is then transmitted to the second order neuron which is the substantia gelatinosa of rolondo and the neuron of marginal nucleus. They then specifically ascend in the firm of our lateral thalamic tract .
Then comes the third order neuron which are in the tectum, thalami nuclei, reticular formation and the gray mater of aqueduct of Sylvius.
Then it's finally reach the post central gyrus of the parital cortex to get the sensation as the body does not have this much time to decision it will make decisions at the spinal cord before reaching the brain
The foot lifted before awareness due to reflex arc
This is the reflex arc that makes decisions in the spinal cord before sensation react the brain
