Decision tree is a tool that supports decision making by using tree like graph of decisions and their possible consequences including occurance, cost and utility. Decision tree is commonly used in machine learning, operations research etc.

Line Balancing is the process used in organization to assign tasks in every workstation, so that the time required to complete any given task in workstation is almost equal. Line balancing helps in minimizing idle time and balancing the bottlenecks. Bottleneck is a phase-in process that causes the entire process to slow down. It is referred to as the longest duration to complete a task assigned. Following are the main objectives of line balancing as follows:

Group technology is a manufacturing system in which parts having similar features are grouped together. These groups are called part families. The idea behind creating groups is that similar parts will require common machines which will reduce time and money.
