Emotions-------Emotions are very short-lived feelings that come from a known cause. Emotions can range from happy, ecstatic, sad and prideful, emotions are things that tend to come and go quite quickly. emotions are fleeting feelings that emerge, run their course and flow out of our consciousness as the brain chemicals that fueled them fade. Emotions almost always can be traced to a specific cause, usually a situation that triggered an emotional reaction.
Moods-------moods are feelings that are longer lasting than emotions and have no clear starting point of formation. moods are either positive or negative. Mood is heavily influenced by several factors: the environment (weather, lighting, people around us), physiology (what we’ve been eating, how we’ve been exercising, how healthy we are), and finally our mental state (where we’re focusing attention and our current emotions). Moods can last minutes, hours, probably even days. Moods can sustain themselves for a long time if your habits align with what nurtures them.
