Pressure is force exerted on a surface per unit area. The standard unit of pressure is the pascal.
Pressure=Force/Area
Unit: is N/m^2
Examples: Pressure can change the volume or it can change boiling point
2).
The percentage of energy used in the useful work
or
The percentage of input to a engine or machine that is consumed in useful work and not wasted.
where is efficiency
Q1 is heat absorbed
Q2 is heat dumped to the sink
Unit: Dimensionless
The remaining energy, the energy which dumped to the sink is called waste heat.i.e which is not useful in the work.
