Human Resource Management concept question: 1. What is employee retention? 2. How to improve employee retention? 3. How might you assess the concern about employee retention in a less transparent way?

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. The ability of the business to keep the people happy and satisfied at their work to retain them in the business for the long term is the human resource’s job of gaining retention. Hence to keep the people in the business for the long term so that they don’t venture for other businesses is the retention of employees.

2. Good organizational behavior is key to employee retention. People have to feel at home and adopt the workplace with all rights and responsibilities as their assets make the retention better. Human resources have to make arrangements to keep the people in the business happy and satisfied to get the best from them. Keeping the people motivated, continuous healthcare, and rewards for the job and competent wages generally makes the retention better. Nevertheless, there are many micro and macros aspects of it which the business has to provide to ensure employee retention is achieved with success.

3. The way the business operations are happening which the culture in the business gives an overall view of the causes which may cause retention problems for the business. The transparency can be lesser where the third part is been used to show the retention records over some time and why. The way the people behave at the workplace, the team integration, and communication efficiency all show the best signs of retention along with a good policy of competent wages makes the idea of retention in a less transparent but useful way.
