The motivation model at Google derives inputs from different theories of motivation like Alderfer's ERG theory, Herzberg's two factor theory, Acquired needs theory and Cognitive evaluation theory.
These theories broadly attribute the motivation to following factors.

(d) Besides intrinsic motivators like achievement and recognition at work, the extrinsic motiators like pay, promotion, future prospects and benefits act as strong motivators.
(e) A number of hygiene factors flexible work structure, inspiring workplace, amazing perks and freedom act as motivators.
The effect of the motivating factors can be seen in the company's culture which promotes creativity, inspires and values the achievements and creates happy, motivated and devoted workforce that act as brand ambassadors of Google.
